Prabhu Osoniq ~ Enchanting HANG Music
With Heather Frahn & Stuart Rose
Saturday, July 7th, 2012 ~ Venue: Mylor Hall
What a fantastic night at The Healing Ground, with Prabhu Osoniqs playing an opening set on his amazing HANG DRUM. His music is a blend of unique simple melodies and overflowing overtones which delviered on the promise to soothe our soul, and fill up our hearts with ethereal vibrations to recharge our energy field.
The crowd was so still and present to receive this glorious gift of sacred sound. It was just as profound to sit in the space of silence between each meditative tune, as it was to be carried away with the hypnotic beats of the hang. We really went on a mystical journey with Prabhu's heartfelt stories and the visions of different landscapes and moods evoked with his skilled hands and heart playing the hang. Prabhu then invited Heather Frahn on flute and Stuart Rose on bouzouki to join him in creating a delightful fusion of percussion, woodwind and strings.
After a break with delicious Chai and tasty treats from The Chai Brothers and Sweet Sisters we were then enchanted by the sweet sounds of an ensemble especially formed just for our event with Heather Frahn and Stuart Rose joining Prabhu. We were delighted with an eclectic blend of Wooden Flutes, Tibetan & Crystal Bowls, Jembai Drum, Gong, Heather's incredible voice and more with of course more hang! It was amazing to be transported to another world where the mind could be still, the body relax and the soul soar.
An incredible night for all concerned. Heartfelt thanks goes to all that contributed to making this bit of magic happen, and to all who attended this first Special Event Concert hosted by The Healing Ground. The Moment of Peace Gathering
Saturday March 10th, 2012
We enjoyed hosting a beautiful gathering of 36 people at Aldgate Oval Hall for 'The Moment of Peace'.
Find out more about this global event here www.themomentofpeace.com
We started the evening with a Labyrinth Walk. The Labyrinth was kindly provided for our use by Robert March, who gave a brief introduction about the history and meaning of this particular style of Labyrinth (Chartres Cathedral) and then guided people onto their path. Find out more about Robert and his heart based work at www.bhagavandharma.org
We were then gently led into our hour of silence for The Moment of Peace with a guided meditation from Rosalind Sansbury of www.nurturinghumanity.com.au Rosalind offers Reiki and Meditation classes and groups, personal healing sessions with Reiki and Theta healing, plus spiritual retreats/workshops and is also an author.
We were roused from our hour of silence with a gentle resounding chime from a Tibetan Bowl, and then we sounded seven Oms (one for each of our Chakras). After this we resumed to the hall for Connect and Reflect Time with beautiful Chai - Created with love by Andrew Bartlett of the Chai Brothers.
We would like to thank and acknowledge all who contributed to making this evening a beautiful vigil for Peace. Blessings to all who attended. Next year we hope to raise more awareness of The Moment of Peace and draw a bigger crowd for Peace!
